What changed, and when.

A clearer way to explore Scentprint
The private Android beta is easier to find, with clearer product descriptions and a separate option for launch news in all 13 website languages. English pages now show the actual activity and mood setup in Ritual. Mobile navigation, stamps and signup forms are easier to use. Forms recover from stalled connections, and films pause when they are offscreen or the site is in a background tab. The cinematic identity stays the same.
-
The house now speaks thirteen languages.
The rebuilt site now reads the same in every one of its thirteen languages, from French to Arabic — one house, one wording, right to left where it should be. And the front door opens somewhere at last: “Join the beta” under the first words leads straight to the private Android test.
-
“Scan again” now means it.
Version 1.0.11 is with the test group. After a failed scan, “Scan again” used to send the very same photo again and open the very same answer, endlessly — it now reopens the camera for a fresh try, and the card that cannot decide says “Not sure yet” instead of blaming your aim. A fragrance’s staying power can also no longer appear as its projection.
-
The scan gets steadier eyes.
Version 1.0.10 reached the test group. A scan now reads the catalogue and the barcode together and keeps what it has seen from frame to frame, so an identification settles sooner. Houses spelled two ways — Hermès and Hermes — now count as one, and sixteen note names that pointed at the wrong material were corrected, repairing the scent pyramid on 3,166 fragrances.
-
A lighter build goes to the test group.
Version 1.0.8 was submitted to the closed Android test group and is with Google for review. Scan now captures a real photograph at the shutter rather than a preview frame, the result card carries Top, Heart, and Base, and the shortlist shows a fragrance's year instead of guessing its concentration.
The build is also about 13 MB smaller: an unused on-device vision library was removed entirely, along with several thousand lines of code nothing reached any more.
-
The homepage becomes a film.
This site's opening screen was rebuilt around a silent loop instead of a still image. Closer to how a fragrance actually arrives, and lighter on a phone than the gallery it replaced.
-
The launch crash is fixed.
Version 1.0.7 reached the closed test group. The two builds before it opened and died instantly on Android 13, 14, and 15: a single new system call made without checking the Android version first. It is guarded now, and the fix was watched working on an older device before the build was sent.
-
Closed testing opens across 177 countries.
The app moved from a single-device internal track to a closed test available in 177 countries and regions. It is still invitation-only and not on public Google Play. The waitlist is how you hear when that changes.

The website published first, carrying the privacy policy, terms, account-deletion guide, and health-data notice from day one. It runs with no cookies, no trackers, no external fonts, and no connection whatsoever to the app's accounts or archive.
