Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice
This notice applies to residents of Washington State, and to residents of Nevada and Connecticut to the extent their consumer health data laws apply. It supplements our main Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
Scentprint is operated by Kossai Ghanmi, based in Cairo, Egypt. Contact: support@scentprint.app.
2. What consumer health data we collect
Scentprint is a fragrance collection app. It is not a health app and we do not intend to collect health information. However, the Washington My Health My Data Act defines “consumer health data” very broadly, and two optional things you can record may fall within it:
- Mood entries. If you choose to, you can record how a fragrance made you feel — a mood tag, a note, and your impression of a wear.
- Free-text reflections. Anything you write in a journal entry, which is entirely up to you.
- Skin type. If you set it, the App uses it to estimate how a fragrance is likely to develop on your skin. It is a fragrance-fit setting, not a dermatological assessment, and it stays on your device — it is never uploaded to our servers.
All of these fields are optional. The App works fully if you leave them blank.
We do not collect precise location, biometric data, health records, diagnoses, medication data, reproductive health data, or genetic data.
3. How we collect it
Only directly from you, when you type or tap it into the App. We do not buy it, and we do not infer it from other sources.
4. Why we use it
Solely to personalise fragrance suggestions inside the App — for example, to suggest something you rated well in a similar mood. We do not use it for advertising, profiling for any health purpose, or any decision that affects you outside the App.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell consumer health data. We have never sold it and we do not intend to.
It is stored on our behalf by our cloud providers (Google Firebase and Cloudflare), who act only on our instructions and may not use it for their own purposes. We do not share it with data brokers, advertisers, or analytics partners.
We may disclose it only where legally compelled by valid process, or where necessary to protect someone's safety.
6. Your rights
If you are a Washington resident, you have the right to:
- Confirm whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data, and access it;
- Obtain a list of all third parties with whom we have shared it, and contact details for each;
- Withdraw consent to its collection and sharing;
- Delete it.
To exercise any of these, email support@scentprint.app. We will respond within 45 days, and may extend by a further 45 days where necessary, telling you why. There is no charge, and we will not treat you differently for asking.
You can also delete this data yourself at any time by deleting the relevant entries, or by deleting your account entirely from Profile → Privacy & Settings → Delete Account or via our deletion page.
Deletion is honoured across our systems, including our cloud storage and backups, and we will pass the request to our processors.
7. Appeals
If we refuse a request, we will explain why and how to appeal. To appeal, reply to our response or write to support@scentprint.app with “Appeal” in the subject line. If we deny your appeal, you may complain to the Washington State Attorney General.
8. How long we keep it
Until you delete the entry or your account. We do not retain it for any longer period.
9. Changes
If we materially change this notice, we will update the date above and notify you in the App before the change takes effect.
